Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology

Cells are the building blocks of life. This is why having an understanding of their structure and function is so critical. Majoring in cellular and molecular biology gives you this understanding and allows you to better grasp the world around you. Deciding to become a cellular and molecular biology major will teach you more about a range of scientific subjects, including biophysics, cell chemistry, and structural biology. Your studies will teach you the difference between cell characteristics and how to coordinate the activities required to form essential systems, or living cells. If you want to understand human diseases or work as a medical professional or researcher, this major provides you with vital information. However, you may also end up working in biotechnology, agriculture, healthcare, or the public sector.
