Operations Research

Life is all about confronting complex problems, but that doesn't mean you should quit when the going gets tough. You can solve any difficult problem as long as you're willing to go the extra mile. Getting an operations research major is all about getting the required skills and knowledge to find ways to solve problems in all sorts of industries. These program are designed to focus on using complex mathematical models to solve complicated problems. The major provides detailed instruction in the applications of judgment and statistical tests, resource allocation theory, control theory, advanced multivariate analysis, and mathematical modeling. After majoring in operations research, you can pursue a career as a statistician, budget analyst, economist, computer scientist, mathematician, management consultant, or as a computer system analyst.
